Aims and Scope

The quarterly Operations Research and Decisions is an open access, free of charge, peer-reviewed journal which includes original scientific papers covering the full scope of operations research. Special emphasis is placed on quantitative methods and their application as a tool to solve economic, social and management problems. In particular, the articles published deal with the following subjects:

  • forecasting

  • mathematical programming

  • production, manufacturing and logistics
  • project management
  • simulation

The papers presented contain substantial theoretical discussions concerning the methodology of operational research and decision making, as well as descriptions of quantitative methods and applications of these techniques to solving practical problems of an economic and social nature.

The journal observes a code of ethics based on academic standards. A basic element in fully understanding these ethical rules and abiding by them is reading An outline of the ethical standards of Operations Research and Decisions

The full texts of articles are freely available from the Operations Research and Decisions web site according to a Creative Commons Licence (CC BY-NC-ND) and, since 2005, through the EBSCO database serving the best interests of the scientific community.
